Pilsen 4th of July Blowout!

What a gigantic street party Pilsen was from one end to the other and from 5pm July 4th until Midnight. My block and every other block around had fireworks of their own and I am not just talking the 1,000's of bottle rockets either.These were serious displays at times. Around 9 pm a thick haze was drifting down 18th near Racine. Families, kids, grandparents, hipsters everybody just hanging out.
Music, laughs and good cheer.
Cops would just roll down 18th oblivious as a whole block of people were setting off fireworks. No issues,no emergencies just a big fun night!Some streets that didn't bother to get a permit for a block party just blocked the street with their cars and vans.
VIVA Pilsen!
It was real quiet all day Sunday. Streets and San must have swept up early because by 9am..steets were swept clean of debris.
